Kago is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist healing and protection ritual. The word Kago can be understood as “healing” or “securing the boundary”—creating a protective boundary that supports well-being on physical, mental, emotional, and energetic levels.
This ritual can be especially beneficial for those who are ill, feeling weak or depleted, experiencing sadness, or moving through challenging circumstances. It is intended to support healing, strengthen one’s energy, clear or pacify obstacles, and provide protection from negative influences and conditions.
For those who are in good health, Kago can be practiced as a protective and preventative ritual, helping to strengthen and maintain well-being and guard against illness, obstacles, and unfavorable circumstances.
Kago also supports the mind and meditation practice. It can help stabilize and deepen meditation, brighten and strengthen the mind, and support clarity and memory. Through its healing and protective qualities, the ritual creates supportive conditions for greater balance, resilience, and spiritual growth.
Lama Kalsang Nyima will give a talk about this special Kago ritual, and will then offer it for the healing, protection, and well-being of participants.
