Join celebrated author and scholar Dr. Sangmo Yangri willl teach from her translation of The Lamp of Uza Rinchen Sal, its history, and its guidance for living a life of dharma.
Uza Rinchen Sal, a Tibetan woman died and journeyed through the bardo (afterlife), visiting hell realms, buddha-fields, and the lands of the khandro (female enlightened beings). Revived just before her body was to be cremated, her account matched Bön teachings and was recorded for practitioners.
Sangmo-la is not only a scholar and an author but she is a deeply experienced practitioner who comes from a long line of dharma practitioners. She has spent many years working to reclaim the narratives of women in the Tibetan Bön tradition.
