Experience a spring wellness retreat with Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche at Serenity Ridge Retreat Center in Shipman, Virginia. Over three days, immerse yourself in meditation, Tibetan Yoga, mindfulness, and nature-based practices to release stress, enhance energy, support health, and deepen inner peace. This retreat blends ancient Bön teachings with modern research to help you transform your life and wellbeing.
Through stillness, silence, and awareness, participants make genuine contact with the “sky of your being,” cultivating inner spaciousness, clarity, and positive qualities that enrich everyday life. Guided by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and guest instructors, you’ll explore techniques for stress reduction, anxiety relief, mindful eating, improved sleep, emotional balance, and personal growth.
Our days will include
- Sunrise meditation (weather permitting)
- Tibetan Yoga for all mobility levels
- Meditation instruction for beginners and experienced practitioners
- Forest bathing, nature walks, river and stream access, and sky gazing
- Evening bonfires
- Time for journaling and reflection
- Afternoon presentations on sleep and nutrition with nationally recognized experts
- Delicious, healthy, plant-based meals
- Guided relaxation and Tibetan treatments for better sleep
- Optional intermittent fasting, cold plunges, and other self-care modalities
Special Guest Speakers

Katherine Lambert, MS, CNS, LDN holds a Masters in Nutrition and Integrative Health. She is a recently retired Certified Nutrition Specialist and Licensed Dietician Nutritionist in Maryland. Her clinical practice specialized in metabolic imbalance, digestive health and nutrition support for chronic Lyme patients
Ed O’Malley, Ph.D. is an integrative sleep specialist trained at Cornell University Graduate School of Medical Sciences and NYU Sleep Disorders Center in New York. He ran the Norwalk Hospital for 12 years, training resident physicians in sleep medicine and creating the first insomnia center in the region. Rev. Ed moves easily between the technological world and the natural/spiritual worlds. As an ordained Interfaith Minister, Shaman and Naturalist, he takes a broad approach to sleep and wellness.

Schedule
The retreat begins on April 9, 2026 with 4:00-6:00 pm Registration, followed by dinner.
The retreat ends on April 12 at 2pm, with lunch
